Overview
LENIO Consultants Ltd was tasked with the structural design for a loft conversion project in Kingswood, Surrey. The project was aimed at transforming an existing loft space into functional habitable space while ensuring structural stability of the existing structure is not compromised. The property is a detached house which was built in 1900s with an overal dimension of 30m long and 20m wide roof space, with several alterations to the ground and first-floor levels.
Objectives
LENIO’s objectives were to deliver structural design for the loft conversion with maximum utilisation of the loft space. LENIO delivered a robust structure capable of supporting the additional load imposed by the conversion. Structural design was delivered in compliance with design codes and building regulations.
